THE ROTARY CLUB AND OTHER EFFORTS!!

Good news - I have a friend who is a Rotarian who is hoping to get me in to do a talk pre and post event in the hope they'll sponsor me.  This will be a massive challenge as I'm not used to public speaking but this is all part of it I guess - setting myself challenges.  I'll contact Anthony Nolan to get some facts and figures from them and then put together a powerpoint thingy!
Ebay and Amazon sales going sort of OK (raised about £100 so far), but the revenue plus the fact that the loft is now emptied out after 18 years is giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling!!
Not so good news - Paul and I (Team Dri-eaz) sent out our first e-mail to one main group of customers for our joint page over a week ago and not one response yet. A lot have verbally promised Paul, so they have to put their money where their mouth is, as they say.  But we Fundraisers don't give up so easily - they'll get badgered until they cave in and then I will stop pestering them!

I'll be checking with my local shops next week to see how the book is selling.
More Amazon listings beckon.....

AMAZON AND EBAY

Bill and are taking the offer of a grant to replenish our loft insulation.  This means  a major clear-out and this means in turn, the opportunity to sell unwanted stuff on Amazon and Ebay.  Some books from my OU course command quite good prices and I have already sold two within a  day, so I hope to raise some funds that way.  What's left will be taken to a car boot when the weather warms up.

Well, here's a picture of the Cock and Bull Band to whet your appetite!
With over 20 years experience on the professional folk scene, The Cock & Bull Band are widely recognised as one of the top ceilidh and barn dance bands on the circuit, and their concerts offer a treat, no matter how many times you have seen them. Always prepared to surprise and delight, the quality of the band's music guarantees an amazing time for their audience, be they beginners or the most expert dancers. Despite their almost unrivalled success, the band still enjoy playing at small, intimate events, as much as at major international festivals. As long as you are prepared for something thrilling and unique, you will have a fantastic time.
Although The Cock & Bull Band have now been performing as a ceilidh band for over twenty years, they still give as much energy and life to their performances as when they had just begun. They well deserve the high reputation they have built up over the years for playing both brilliant, stomping dance music, and entrancing concert material.
